Paleontological Findings

Cerro Guido is one of the most important fossil and paleontological sites in the south of the continent. Fossil species such as water turtles, mammals, sauropods and ornithischian dinosaurs have been discovered here.

Tetas de las Chinas

Rock of marine origin, belonging to the Manaike formation of the Cenozoic era, which contains a great paleontological value with fossils yet to be discovered.

Sierra Baguales

Volcanic mountain range located to the east of the Estancia. The landscape is dominated by dark mountains with serrated reliefs due to the erosion of a large basaltic plateau.

Puesto Las Chinas

Old section of the Cerro Guido Ranch that dates back to the 1920s and is named after the Las Chinas River that runs through this sector. It is immersed in a mountain range system and from everywhere you can see the Paine massif.

Puesto Las Flores

Sector located in the foothills of Sierra Baguales Here we can find the famous " mud brick house" which is one of the oldest houses in the region. From here, we will be able to contemplate all the interior of the mountain range drawers and the Valley of Cerro Guido.

Puesto Segunda Barranca

Former estancia that today is part of Estancia Cerro Guido, a place where gauchos live and take care of their cattle, in the surroundings of the great meadows that surround Torres del Paine National Park.

Condoreras

Iconic place of 2000 hectares located west of Estancia Cerro Guido and today is dedicated exclusively to conservation by the Cerro Guido Foundation and serves as a refuge for mammals and birds such as condors and pumas.

Las Chinas River

River that rises in the Andes Mountains and flows into the east side of Lago del Toro, Torres del Paine. In the river valley and Cerro Guido, there is one of the most important fossil and paleontological deposits in Chile.

Puesto El Palique

Outpost of Estancia Cerro Guido located in the middle of the pampa, near the border with Argentina and has a unique scenic attraction in the form of an Oasis that runs towards the Valley sector between the Chilean mountain range and Cerro Tridente. It also stands out for the archaeological sites found there.

Puesto Sarmiento

Puesto Sarmiento is an iconic place of our Estancia, located on the shores of the lake of the same name, which borders the Torres del Paine National Park.
