Join the Pumas Research Adventure

With this exciting activity, you can participate for a day in the Cerro Guido Conservation Foundation project. You will experience the richness of Patagonian fauna and discover the strategies of Estancia Cerro Guido to achieve a harmonious coexistence between livestock and native species. From dawn, we will accompany our professional trackers in their daily work of investigating pumas on the ranch. By engaging in camera trap watching and checking, you’ll get a glimpse of the region’s unique wildlife. The day is complemented by an introduction to the work of the sheep protection dogs, a lunch break and a fascinating visit to the Foundation’s operations center. Your day will culminate with a sunset outing in the Sierra del Toro, where you can witness the active commitment to conservation in action.

In this activity, which can be done both in the morning and in the afternoon, we will learn about the work of the Cerro Guido Conservation Foundation and we will visit some of the sectors designated for conservation within the ranch, through observation with binoculars and review of With camera traps we will be able to appreciate in the field part of the fauna of the Patagonian steppe and the work that the Foundation team carries out daily in the investigation of its top predator, the puma.
